Gain the Confidence to Tackle Your Dream Project in 21 Days

Discover how to eliminate procrastination from your life in order to do what truly matters to you.

Yesterday, you said “tomorrow”

We all have things that we REALLY want to do but never get around to doing. What are they for you?

Starting a new business? Playing the guitar? Starting a Youtube Channel?

These are the things that give our lives meaning and purpose. But why is it so common for us to put them off until later? I mean... they're the most important things in our lives, right?

We tell ourselves:

  • “TOMORROW is going to be the day that I start that new business!”
  • “Today after work I'm going to pick up the camera and start my Youtube channel!”
  • “After I finish watching this news video on Youtube, I'm going to practice guitar.”

But what happens? Minutes turn to hours... hours turn to days, and eventually months have passed without us EVEN GETTING STARTED.

All because of that sinister voice in the back of our heads constantly messing with our ambitions. You probably know it as procrastination.

Sure, but doesn't everyone procrastinate? It isn't that bad...

Procrastination seems like just an innocent little pest. Just a minor annoyance. It begs for 5 more minutes of our time. Just 5 more minutes. Just finish watching this video, just scroll through your phone a little bit longer.

The problem is that these "5 more minutes" compound quickly and we may NEVER end up doing the things that we want to do most in life.

The worst part about procrastination, is that it gets worse the more you do it.

The Vicious Cycle of Procrastination

Imagine you tell yourself "today after work, I'm going to start working on my new business! (or to going the gym, or learning an instrument or whatever it is for you).

You're excited and motivated all day at work. You've amped yourself up, "I'm going to change my life!" you tell yourself.

You get home and just before you start, you think "I need a few minutes to relax". You open up your phone to and see an interesting Youtube video (you deserve it! you've had a long day at work).

It seems harmless. But the first video turns to another, and then another... and before you know it, it's been 45 minutes and you're still on the couch.

You haven't started... again.

But this is where it gets worse. Because it's not only that you haven't started, but you feel GUILTY that haven't started. You tell yourself:

"I can't believe I'm doing this again. I'm better than this! UGH. I know I want more for my life but I guess I'll just give in tonight..."

The worst part is how you feel about yourself. It makes you feel small and powerless, giving up your goals and ambitions to this stupid little device.

So how do you deal with this negative emotion?

You watch some more videos to numb the pain. To quiet that little voice inside your head. It's easier to watch a few more videos than it would be to take action.

The Vicious Cycle of Procrastination

The longer you put off working towards that goal - the harder it is to start. You feel more guilt as the days go on. The worse you feel - the more you procrastinate.

The voice in the back of your head gets louder, and the guilt gets more painful. How long can you put off what's important in your life? How long are you going to wait to make that change?

This turns into a vicious cycle... one that leaves you feeling miserable, and your dreams? They're still on the back-burner.

But while you may be feeling guilty about procrastinating - the truth is it's not your fault. There are forces working AGAINST you at every turn.

Let's look at how procrastination pokes its ugly head in our lives...

Public Enemy Number One: Distraction

The most obvious way procrastination manifests is through distraction. However, distraction can wear many masks.

There are 2 main types of distraction that you should be aware of...

Distraction Type #1

Escapism

Escapism is generally what we think of when we talk about distraction. It's the mindless distraction that's just plain toxic - and we know it is.

Here are some examples of what I mean by escapism:

  • Mindlessly scrolling through social media, reddit, and Youtube
  • Watching recommended videos that we don't really care about for hours on end
  • Playing hours of video games that we know aren't getting us anywhere in life

These forms of distraction aren't fooling us - we see them for what they are. However, there is a type of distraction that's even more deadly...

Distraction Type #2

Edu-scapism

Edu-scapism is the form of distraction that wears a dark cloak and peers at us from the shadows, where it can see us, but we can't see it.

It's anything distracting that we THINK is helping us progress in life. Even though these things seem productive, they're often just another form of procrastination.

Let's look at some common examples:

  • Checking e-mail, slack, or Whatsapp over and over again, playing an application juggling game
  • Watching interviews from people we admire, listening to podcasts and watching tutorials related to our craft
  • Doing research, gathering information, "preparing" to start moving towards our goal

It's not the content that's the problem. It's perfectly fine to watch an interview from Warren Buffet, or listen to Gary Vee give you the "keys to success"...

The problem is when "learning" becomes an excuse for not taking action towards the things we're putting off.

The reality is, you have all the information you need to start. Seriously, how many business videos have you watched? How many fitness videos? How many tutorials related to your craft?

Have they gotten you anywhere? Or are these things just are another form of procrastination holding you back from your goals?

Public Enemy #2: Overstimulation

The reality of life in 2021 is that we're constantly being stimulated by technology.

Millions of dollars are being spent to discover the best ways to get us hooked. I'm sure you can remember a time when you spent hours binge watching videos, scrolling through Facebook, or watching Netflix?

Remember how you felt after you finally turned off the screen? Ah yes, the all familiar "icky" gross feeling. Like I can't BELIEVE I just did that (we've all been there, don't worry).

The worst part of all this stimulation is it makes anything else (like the goal you're procrastinating on) seem reaaaally boring.

There's no way you could read a book, or do work after a long binge session. The only thing you want to do is to turn on a screen and keep watching.

Now imagine if you were like this all day, every day.? You'd get nothing done!

Well... I hate to break it to you - but you are.

Nowadays we're attached to our devices at the hip! Our brains are constantly being overloaded with dopamine - and all this stimulation is another reason why it's harder than ever to eliminate procrastination from our lives.

Whatever owns your attention, owns your life

What is the most valuable resource that you have?

Would you agree that it's your time? Well actually, there's something even more important than your time...

Your attention.

Our attention is being manipulated behind our backs. Bought and sold by large corporations who want to profit from YOU... by trading your time, for dollars.

Let me ask you a question:

Are you in control of your time and attention, or is your phone, social media, or computer?

We only have a finite amount of time on this earth, what do you want to spend yours doing? If you're honest with yourself - it's probably not spending hours a day staring at a screen.

When I was struggling with procrastination as a young entrepreneur, one of the questions I asked myself is: how come other people don't procrastinate and I do?

Why can some people work on multiple business's, learn a new language, and still have time for family and friends? They have the same distractions as I do, what is it they know that I don't?

I've learned that NUMBER 1 thing that separates driven, successful people from the masses is...

They spend more time CREATING than CONSUMING

All the distractions we're bombarded with these days are turning us into serial consumers.

We're so used to the comfort of consuming other people's work, that it interferes with our ability to take action in our lives.

Anything significant that you want requires that YOU become the creator. It requires that YOU become the one producing things in the world, rather than just consuming other peoples work.

Think about it...

  • To start that business... You need to start CREATING your product, content, and business plan
  • To learn guitar... You need to start PRACTICING guitar regularly
  • To start a Youtube channel... You need to start CREATING videos

However, doing these things usually means we have to accept being uncomfortable. And honestly... deep down, this is the real reason why most people procrastinate:

It's scary to take the leap. It's easier to just stay comfortable in the role of consumer.

And I get it, I've been there myself. But one thing I've learned from working with hundreds of entrepreneurs is that everyone has this fear. The difference is, that some people learn how to deal with procrastination when it rears it's ugly head.

And the goods news is, SO CAN you.

Flipping Procrastination on it's Head

What I've learned from watching successful entrepreneurs (and people in general) is that not only do they not struggle with procrastination, but they use it to their advantage.

Remember that vicious cycle I told you about earlier? How the more you procrastinate, the guiltier you feel, which makes you procrastinate even more?

What if I told you that you can actually flip this cycle around to work in your benefit?

Here's how...

By creating new neural pathways. You need to create experiences that "teach your brain" how GOOD it feels to take action INSTEAD of procrastinating.

Remember, we're really just sophisticated apes. As much as we think we're in control of our actions, we're really not. Our brains are.

You need to trick your brain into WANTING to take action, instead of wanting to procrastinate. You need to create a POSITIVE addiction, instead of a negative one.

Vicious Cylce of Procrastination:

Virtuous Cycle of Motivation:

When you start doing the things you really want in life - something changes. You start to become MORE motivated to take action again... and again... and again!

It's exciting and fulfilling to make progress towards the things you care about. And this feeling becomes addictive. This is where real transformation happens. Instead of just eliminating procrastination, you can create a positive habit to take it's place!

You can literally do a COMPLETE 180.... you wouldn't believe the changes I've seen in people. This is why I know it can happen for you.

Ok... but how do I actually do that?

The answer to this question might be a little disappointing for you to hear...

Because there's nothing I can TELL you that will help you solve this problem. The answer to this problem, is not more knowledge.

  • YOU CAN'T read a book on procrastination, or take some course to solve it
  • YOU CAN'T get some advice, or watch a Youtube video to solve it
  • YOU CAN'T use some fancy app, or tool, or system to solve it

Because information doesn't teach, only experience teaches.

Once I realized how good it felt to make progress towards starting my business, I never looked back. I realized that I don't want my life to pass by while I'm busy checking my phone.

I want to live a life where I relentlessly pursue the things that matter to me, period.

Some of my past students shared some great examples of what that looks like for them:

  • One of our students, Anthony has a Youtube channel, but wasn't uploading content. After doing our program he published 30 videos, in 30 days!
  • Ryan from our team wanted to learn how to speak Portuguese... after our training he's memorized thousands of words, and is having conversations daily!
  • Abhi from the team wanted to start making music - but wasn't taking action. Now he creates (and publishes publicly) at least one song per day!

Now what's your success story going to be?

If all these people have discovered the keys to crushing procrastination, so can you.

What are the things really want to spend your time doing? What would make your life more fulfilling? Do you want to start that new business? Start going to the gym? Learn a language or a new skill?

It's exciting to imagine living life in alignment with what you really want!

I want to show you how you can make those things a reality, just as I have for myself, and countless students I've worked with.

These people all crushed procrastination, and now so can you.

About Shane Melaugh

Hi, I'm Shane Melaugh, I'm a serial entrepreneur and I began eliminating my procrastination problem over 10 years ago.

Since then, I've built up several successful businesses, built highly effective teams from the ground up, spoken at events to large crowds and published hundreds of articles as well as over 1,000 videos.

People assume because I'm successful that I've never struggled with procrastination - but the truth is I used to be a scatterbrain!

Now, I believe that the value of productivity is in what you ship - what you actually deliver and how that affects other people and the world. And I'm excited to teach this kind of pragmatic, results driven approach to people like you!

Here's what some of my past students have said:

“The content is focused and the delivery is clear...”

Shane has a great teaching style. He's a refreshing change from the ra-ra, adrenaline-fuelled psychopaths who tend to dominate this area. The content is focused and the delivery is clear and to the point.

Mark Coster

“First rate...”

Shane's content quality and teaching style are first-rate, something that I frankly expected, having been exposed to his other products & offerings.

I know I can trust his stuff to be of the highest quality.

David Coleman

Shane, I had such a wonderful experience with your products in my online business that I purchased this course without even minimal hesitation. I expect a lot from all you do and I can say you always over-deliver by many folds

Luca L

If this module was the only module in the course, it was already worth everything I paid for.

Thank you, Shane and team! This is a dream come true.

What You'll Discover in the 21 Day Program

Wondering what these "21 Challenges" will be? Here are some examples from the program:

The Cycle Flip

Learn how to turn procrastination on it's head. Create a virtuous cycle where you become more & more pulled to take action on your dreams and ambitions as the days go on.

The Input/Output Formula

Anything significant you want to achieve requires output. Learn to go from "consumer" to "producer" and make meaningful progress on the projects that matter to you.

Smartphone "Training"

Instead of your device owning you, you can own your device. Identify the ways in which you mindlessly use your phone, and how you can be 100% in control.

"Vulnerability" Days

On some days, you'll be asked to share and communicate with other members in the ikario community to help come to grips with the obstacles & demons in your way.

Devil vs. Angel Distractions

Sometimes, "productive" distractions are just as bad as toxic distractions. Learn how to identify and neutralize eduscapism, as well as brain-numbing wasteful distraction (escapism).

Radical "De-stimulation"

A simple practice to go from overstimulated by devices to the exact opposite: under-stimulated. From this state, you'll see how easy it can be to work towards your goals!

"Psychology Clock" Control

Psychological time is about learning to be more deliberate about your time and get more presence, fulfillment, and enjoyment out of your days.

Transformative Writing

Introspective writing can be a powerful tool - if used in the right way. Our specific journalling exercises will help you identify what is truly getting in your way, and how to eliminate it.

The Roadmap to Your Journey

The 21 day program will be divided into 3 separate weeks, with 3 separate goals:

1

Week 1: Radical Awakening

The first step in eliminating procrastinating for good awareness. In this first week the challenges will help you to get 100% clarity around what's holding you back from taking action.

Learn WHY you procrastinate, and HOW you procrastinate.

2

Week 2: The Tools You Need

After week 1, you'll be prepared to start tackling the problem. But first, you need the right tools. This week's exercises will be focused on tools directly related to dealing with procrastination head on.

3

Week 3: The Freedom Blueprint

Now that you have the freedom to design your life how you want - what do you want to spend time doing? This is an exciting point in the challenge, where YOU get to design how to use your time more effectively from here on out.

Shane Melaugh

Here's what some of my past students have said about their purchase

“I went from being an uncoordinated, procrastinating mess to actually working on my most important tasks daily. I accomplish a week's worth of work in my morning hours now which already(!) affects my income.

The course is very clear, streamlined and high quality. A must-see for every entrepreneur.”

Tim  Gelhausen

“One lesson alone was worth the price of the course...”

The quality of this course is outstanding and Shane really over delivers but does not overwhelm.

It's very well structured and encourages to take action. Shane's teaching style is very personal and engaging.

Conney Graf

I’d like to state two things:
1 – the course is outstanding in both content and delivery

2 – Shane, I think you need to add an extra zero on to the pricing of this course.

Nicholas k

Frankly, in the beginning I doubted if the training would be able to teach much after Shane’s free videos. They were already so valuable.

I have now done the first 6 lessons and I must say that this is really valuable!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ikario?

ikario is a self-development company created to help people overcome obstacles preventing them from living a great life. Our main method of doing this is through transformative experiences.

Procrastination is a debilitating force in the world today, and it's only getting stronger.

It prevents us from living the most meaningful lives possible. This is a great example of something that can be examined and de-railed through an experience - such as this 21 day challenge!

How will this help me stop procrastinating?

There are a few key ways this will help you stop procrastinating.

First of all, you will gain awareness for HOW and WHY you procrastinate. This in and of itself may be powerful enough to cause change.

However we don't stop there. We will also teach you tools for how to deal with procrastination when it pokes it's ugly head up from under the water.

Finally (and most importantly) we will take you through the experience of not procrastinating. Various challenges are aimed at creating deep change and transformation, so your brain does not look at procrastination the same.

How is this different from other books and courses?

Most productivity and procrastination advice out there is very surface level.

It is the type of stuff that is very click-baity. I'm talking about productivity hacks, tips, tricks. Books, articles, and videos all aimed to give you the "easy solution".

The reason 21 days of Procrastination is different is because we take a thorough examination of what is holding you back.

Exactly why you procrastinate. Then from there, we use transformative experiences to prevent you from ever doing it again. The main difference is that this challenge is not about learning something new, it's about experiencing something new.

What happens after the 21 days?

After the 21 days you will have a completely transformed perspective of procrastination.

In terms of the challenge, you will have lifetime access to all of the videos, emails, and challenges in case you want to revisit them.

You will also retain access to the community where you can continue to communicate with others that took the challenge.

You'll be able to share your results, ask questions and make connections.

What if I want a refund?

If you are not satisfied with the challenge for whatever reason, send us an email and we will give you a full refund.

What if I have questions along the way?

This is what our ikario community is for.

We expect you to have questions, and by posting them in the community you are inviting answers from those who have taken our programs before - as well as from my team and I.

Your questions will be answered, and they will also benefit others in the challenge who have similar questions.

It's Time to Take Control

What are the things you really want to do in your life, and why haven't you started doing them?

I started ikario for one reason and one reason only: to create powerful growth experiences for people. I want to help you (and others) live the best, most fulfilling life possible!

pics from India, Bali, Norway and more

(Life AFTER procrastination)

Instead of being pulled by technology, addictions, and outside forces in your life - now you can take control.

Taking control starts with eliminating procrastination. The reality is - if you are not in control of your time and attention, then you can't control the outcomes in your life.

I want you to experience a breakthrough. A real transformation. One that will leave you excited about the possibilities for your future.
